Shaver's (1st) Brigade,
7th Ark., 2d Ark., 6th Ark., 3d Confederate,
Hardee's Corps,
Army of the Mississippi.
This brigade, with its regiments in order from left to right as above, made an attack at this place at 11.30 a.m., April 6, 1862. It was repulsed and retired to Prentiss' camp for ammunition. Its next attack was to front and right.
 
Erected by Shiloh National Military Park Commission. (Marker Number 418.)
 
Location. 35° 8.1′ N, 88° 20.467′ W. Marker is in Shiloh, Tennessee, in Hardin County. Marker can be reached from Corinth Road 0.3 miles west of Eastern Corinth Road, on the left when traveling west. Click for map. About 350 yards south of road, in woods off southwest corner of Duncan Field. Easiest to reach from Ruggles' line. Marker is in this post office area: Shiloh TN 38376, United States of America.
