7th Illinois Infantry,
Sweeny's (3d) Brig., W.H.L. Wallace's (2d) Div.,
Army of the Tennessee.
This regiment was engaged here at 4.30 p.m. April 6, 1862 in support of McAllister's battery. It then retired to siege guns.
 
Erected by Shiloh National Military Park Commission. (Marker Number 91.)
 
Location. 35° 8.759′ N, 88° 19.979′ W. Marker is in Shiloh, Tennessee, in Hardin County. Marker is at the intersection of Cavalry Road and Hamburg-Savannah Road, on the right when traveling west on Cavalry Road. Click for map. Located in Shiloh National Military Park.
