1. Chapel of St. Mark Marker
Inscription. In time of danger, the chapel was a spiritual haven for both soldiers and townspeople. Before the altar, the priest offered mass. The walls were white, with a red band at floor level. The holy water fonts are still in place.
 
Location. 29° 53.878′ N, 81° 18.693′ W. Marker is in St. Augustine, Florida, in Saint Johns County. Marker can be reached from South Castillo Drive (State Highway A1A), on the right when traveling north. Click for map. Located inside the Castillo de San Marcos.
