Inscription. Jewish community flourished in Woodville 1820-1920. Est. cemetery 1848. Synagouge built on Natchez St. 1878, rebuilt 1896, burned 1930s. Jewish community enriched Towns economic/artistic life.
Erected 1997 by Mississippi Department of Archives & History.
