Fought fires, helped build Meacham Lake and Fish Creek Campsites, planted trees, built trails/dams, and improved forest stands.
Camp S-60 received Gov. Lehman Award for "Best Conservation Work" in N.Y.S. 1934

 
Erected 1995 by CCC Members and Friends.
 
Location. 44° 26.424′ N, 74° 15.228′ W. Marker is in Paul Smiths, New York, in Franklin County. Marker is on New York Route 30 ¼ mile north of Keeses Mill Road, on the right when traveling north. Click for map. The location above is an approximation. The marker is on the east side of Rte. 30 between Paul Smiths College and the Paul Smiths Visitor Interpretive Center. Marker is in this post office area: Paul Smiths NY 12970, United States of America.
