Inscription. On this site was built in 1874 the world's largest Catalan Forge abandoned in 1893.
 
Erected 1940 by State Education Department.
 
Location. 44° 50.463′ N, 74° 2.118′ W. Marker is in Brainardsville, New York, in Franklin County. Marker is at the intersection of Blow Road (Route 374) and Bunker Hill Road, on the right when traveling south on Blow Road. Click for map. Marker is in this post office area: Brainardsville NY 12915, United States of America.
