1. Jose Eusebio Boronda Adobe Casa Marker
 
Inscription. Built between 1844 and 1848 by Josť Eusebio Boronda, this is an outstanding example of a Mexican era rancho adobe. Virtually unaltered since its construction, it shows many features of the "Monterey Colonial" style which resulted from the fusion of New England and California building traditions during California's Mexican period.
 
Erected 1974 by State Department of Parks and Recreation, Monterey County Historical Society, Monterey Chapter. (Marker Number 870.)

Marker is mounted on the rock to the left of the walkway.
 

 
Regarding Josť Eusebio Boronda Adobe Casa. This site was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 20, 1973 and was designated as California Registered Historical Landmark No. 870 on March 15, 1974.

The Boronda Adobe is visible above and to the right of the sign, the Company C 194th Tank Battalion/1942 Bataan Memorial memorial is visible nearer and behind the sign. Taken from the end of Calle Del Adobe.
