1. Additional Old York Road Marker in Ringoes

Inscription. Early Lenape Indian trail; became a "Kings Highway" in 1764. Was main stage route between Philadelphia and New York.

Erected by Hunterdon County Cultural and Heritage Commission.

Location. 40° 25.634′ N, 74° 52.049′ W. Marker is near Ringoes, New Jersey, in Hunterdon County. Marker is at the intersection of Old York Road (New Jersey Route 179) and John Ringo Road (New Jersey Route 579), on the right when traveling north on Old York Road. Click for map.
