Inscription. He laid the foundation of the National Park Service. Defining and establishing the policies under which its areas shall be developed and conserved unimpaired for future generations. There will never come an end to the good that he has done.
 
Location. 29° 16.229′ N, 103° 18.095′ W. Marker is in Big Bend National Park, Texas, in Brewster County. Marker can be reached from Chisos Basin Road 6.5 miles south of Maverick Drive (U.S. 385). Click for map. Marker is at the Window View Trailhead, near the Chisos Basin Visitor Center. Marker is in this post office area: Big Bend National Park TX 79834, United States of America.
