1. Fort Ogden Marker
Inscription. Frontier defense, including blockhouse, stockade, and cabins. Part of the chain of forts established by George Washington about 1755. Point of refuge for the Bowmans, Lees, Logsdons and many pioneer families.
 
Erected 2012 by West Virginia Archives and History.
 
Location. 39° 16.705′ N, 79° 17.622′ W. Marker is in Mt. Storm, West Virginia, in Grant County. Marker is on George Washington Highway (U.S. 50) west of Cherry Ridge Road, on the left when traveling west. Click for map.
