1. In Memory of George F. Fleming Marker
Inscription. He instigated the first tree planting in 1915. He continued annual planting for many years. This was the beginning of the Genesee County Park.
 
Erected by Bethany Town Republican Committee.
 
Location. 42° 52.407′ N, 78° 7.142′ W. Marker is in Bethany, New York, in Genesee County. Marker is on Memory Lane half a mile south of Raymond Road (County Route 49), on the right when traveling south. Click for map. Marker is in Genesee County Park on the inside of the first 90 degree turn southbound on Memory Lane from the Raymond Road entrance. Marker is on a stone along the treeline on an inside curve of the road, making it easy to overlook. Marker is in this post office area: East Bethany NY 14054, United States of America.
