1. Marshall College Marker
Inscription. Used the Theological Seminary building. Was chartered, 1836; removed to Lancaster, 1853, and united with Franklin College. First president was Dr. Frederick A. Rauch, famed scholar and educator; author of textbook on psychology.
 
Erected 1953 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
 
Location. 39° 49.696′ N, 77° 53.969′ W. Marker is in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, in Franklin County. Marker is at the intersection of Rutledge Road and E. Seminary Street, on the right when traveling north on Rutledge Road. Click for map. Marker is on the grounds of The Mercersburg Academy.
