[lower plaque] Island X-8 honors RADM James C. Doebler (Ret.) for his participation in the dedication of the Stainless Steel Steel Bee Memorial on November 11, 2010. S/S built by Steve Skrlin and Victor Green. S/S Bee designed by Alexander W. Kravitz.

Memorial is in Fisherman's Park which is sandwiched between River Road and the east branch of the Niagara River. Memorial is at the U.S. Navy Seabee Veterans memorial.
