1. Lutcher Marker
Inscription. Established 1891 by H.J. Lutcher, co-owner of Lutcher & Moore Cypress Lumber Co. The town, incorporated in 1912, grew around the sawmill built on the plantation of Pierre Chenet, developer of world-famous Perique tobacco.
 
Erected by the Kraemer Family in Memory of Clyde Kraemer,.
 
Location. 30° 2.335′ N, 90° 41.643′ W. Marker is in Lutcher, Louisiana, in Saint James Parish. Marker is at the intersection of Lutcher Avenue (State Highway 3193) and Jefferson Highway (Highway 44), on the right when traveling north on Lutcher Avenue. Click for map.
