Erected 1906 by Daughters of the American Revolution and the State of Kansas. (Marker Number 17.)
 
Marker series. This marker is included in the Santa Fe Trail marker series.
 
Location. 38° 46.423′ N, 95° 41.155′ W. Marker is near Scranton, Kansas, in Osage County. Marker is at the intersection of U.S. 75 and Topeka Avenue, on the right when traveling south on U.S. 75. Click for map. Marker is about three miles south of Carbondale and three miles east of Scranton. Marker is in this post office area: Scranton KS 66537, United States of America.
