Erected 1899 by State of Illinois. (Marker Number 154.)
 
Location. 35° 1.204′ N, 85° 15.774′ W. Marker is in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in Hamilton County. Marker can be reached from South Crest Road north of South Crest Place, on the left when traveling south. Click for map. According to the location provided by National Park Service, the, “Marker located on City property north of Bragg Reservation.". Marker is in this post office area: Chattanooga TN 37404, United States of America.

2. 22nd Illinois Marker
View of the historical monument situated at the northern edge of the Bragg Reservation next to the markers for two Ohio Regiments. In the background is a view of the Crest Road Bridge over the Interstate 24 cut through Missionary Ridge.
According to the description provided by National Park Service, the marker is, “2'6" x 1'2" x 2'6" high rectangular slab of dark quincy granite. Rock-faced sides; polished & inscribed front. "Illinois" is in large raised letters on beveled top. Marks unit's participation in battle of missionary ridge."
