1. The Old Castillo Hotel Marker
Inscription. This building erected 1835-40. As an inn it welcomed travelers and was a center for the towns social activities. Since its purchase in 1899 by the Sisters of Mercy, it has been used as a private school. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 by United States Department of the Interior.
 
Erected 1979 by Woodmen of the World St. Martinville Camp 134.
 
Location. 30° 7.315′ N, 91° 49.661′ W. Marker is in St. Martinville, Louisiana, in Saint Martin Parish. Marker is at the intersection of Evangeline Boulevard (State Highway 96) and South New Market Street, on the right when traveling east on Evangeline Boulevard. Click for map.
