En esta plaza frente al Altar de la Patria,
el coronel Caamaño, héroe de la revolución de abril de 1965,
para garantizar el proceso democrático en nuestro país,
se juramentó como presidente de la República Dominicana en Armas
el día 4 de mayo de 1965.
