Erected 1884 by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
 
Location. 39° 49.052′ N, 77° 11.863′ W. Marker is near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in Adams County. Marker is on Highland Avenue half a mile south of Hanover Road (Pennsylvania Route 116), on the right when traveling north. Click for map.
