Regarding Oliverio Castañeda de León. Oliverio Castañeda de León was killed while leaving a protest on October 20, 1978 celebrating the 34th anniversary of the 1944 October Revolution. His attackers shot at him from a vehicle and killed him at a store known as Pasaje Rubio on 6a Avenida in Zone 1 of Guatemala City. It is known that he was under police surveillance of his organizational activities.
