Glen Ellen Historical Society, October 12, 1996 — Map (db m26468) HM | | California (Sonoma County), Glen Ellen — Glen Ellen Cannon | | | In early 1905 through the efforts of General Wagner, this Civil War Era cannon was was delivered to Glen Ellen where it was placed in the center of town. It has continuously been recognized as the town marker and as a symbol of community for the town.

London in 1919 in memory of her husband, Jack London, renowned author. Here are housed many of his works and the collection gathered in their travels throughout the world. Charmian's house, the ruins of Jack's "Wolf House", and his grave were presented to the State of California in 1960 by his nephew, Irving Shepard.
