1. Battle of Munford Marker
Inscription. A.J. Buttram, killed in the Battle of Munford, was the last Confederate soldier killed east of the Mississippi. The monument in his memory was unveiled November 4, 1914, by the John Tyler Morgan UDC Chapter and rededicated in 2015 by the Major General Patrick R. Cleburne UDC Chapter 11445

3. Monument to Lieutenant Andrew Jackson “Jack” Buttram.
This monument stands at the spot where Buttram was killed, placed there by the U.D.C., November 04, 1914. It was then moved after 1972 to a spot about 75 feet from his grave site. A new grave marker was placed on the grave by the Sons of the Confederate Veterans on May 3, 1998.

Lt. A.J. Buttram was buried in an area on the extreme right of this photo across the road in the grass. He was disinterred for reburial in February 2020.
