1. Elliot Ranch Marker
Elliot Ranch is just south of this point, in Little Horse Thief Canyon. It is the thirty acre homestead of William and Lena Elliot built in 1927. The family with eight children truly lived frontier lives in wilderness surroundings.
Between 1830 and 1855, thousands of stolen horses and mules were driven through the future Elliot Ranch en route to Utah for reselling.
Erected 1996 by Hesperia Recreation and Park District. (Marker Number 9.)
