1. Christiania Tivoli (Wikipedia, in Norwegian).
Overview (in translation): Christiania Tivoli was an entertainment district that was established in 1877 in the district of Pipervika in Christiania . In its heyday, Tivoli was the most popular amusement park (place for entertainment and relaxation) in Christiania. The 20- acre site was located between today's Stortingsgaten and the Klingenberg cinema . The area was built and operated on the model of the amusement park Tivoli in Copenhagen, but compared to Copenhagen Tivoli's 80-acre site, Christiania Tivoli was relatively small. In the area there were, among other things, restaurants, dance venues and theater stages. Before Christiania Tivoli was established, there was another amusement park in the same area, called Klingenberg. In 1937, the entire area was demolished, as a result of the redevelopment of Pipervika and the construction of Oslo City Hall.(Submitted on July 3, 2023.)
