The Oslo City Lexicon notes that modeling of old Christiania (the name for a historic section of Oslo and also the city’s prior name) began in 1965 with the aim of recreating (some of?) it in full scale on a nearby island. A model of Christiania was produced and displayed in the Akershus fortress from 1988-2004, but apparently no further work was done.
