An Electronics Technician 1st Class, David served aboard this Amphibian class repair ship in the Atlantic Fleet of Operations and was responsible for the repair & maintenance of radio equipment at sea, both on ship as well as other ships in the fleet. David said his most memorable and dangerous personal experience was when he volunteered for and completed a repair job during which he had to climb to the very top of one of the ship's antenna racks in gale force winds during a hurricane.
