1. Fort McDermott Marker
Inscription. Highest point along 2 miles of Confederate battle lines extending east and north. Here 200 soldiers from Georgia, Louisiana & Arkansas, held off a numerically superior Union Force for thirteen days and nights in the last battle of the War Between the States. April 1865.
 
Erected 1960 by the Spanish Fort Historical Society.
