Text on the Second Tablet:
In the advance of Breckinridge's division from east of the Kelly field the 6th Kentucky on the right of the brigade the 4th Kentucky next in line with it and six companies of the 41st Alabama cleared the Union log works on the east line of the Kelly field and reached this line. In the advance they struck the 15th Kentucky and 104th Illinois of John Beatty's brigade in front and flank pressed them back and at this point captured two guns of Bridge's battery attached to that brigade. This portion of Helm's brigade under the command of Colonel J. H. More about this marker. I used the "Chickamauga Battlefield" map, that I purchased at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Visitor Center, to determine both the monument number for this marker and the marker's location in relation to the rest of the park's monuments, markers, and tablets. According to the map it provides the, "numerical listing of all monuments, markers, and tablets on the Chickamauga Battlefield (using the Chick-Chatt NMP Monument Numbering System)."
