Subestructura 38
Es uno de los edificios abovedados más antiguos de Dzibilchaltun. Se construyó con mampostería burda y su bóveda fue techada con la técnica de piedras saledizas. Por la cerámica encontrada en el escombro que rellenaba este edificio, se le fecha entre 600 y 830 de nuestra era. El edificio 38, que da nombre al conjunto habitacional que lo limita, cubrió en una etapa más tardia a la subestructura 38. En la actualidad solo la recubre parcialmente.

Substructure 38
It is one of the oldest vaulted buildings in Dzibilchaltun. It was constructed with a coarse masonry and the vault was roofed with a projecting stone technique. Due to the earthenware found amidst the rubble that filled the building, it is dated between 600 and 830 of our Era. Building 38, which gives its name to the whole residential unit

Location. 21° 5.506′ N, 89° 35.841′ W. Marker is in Dzibilchaltún, Yucatán, in Mérida. The marker is located about 200 meters to the right after the entrance to the Dzibilchaltun Archaeological Zone, west of the Central Square. The park is off the road towards the small village of Dzilbilchaltun, to the east some 20 km north of Mérida on the Mérida-Progeso Highway (Hwy. 261). Touch for map.
