1. The Return of the C.A. Thayer Marker

Inscription. The 1895 lumber schooner C.A. Thayer has gone to a shipyard in Alameda, CA for installation of her masts and rigging. The last West Coast lumber schooler in existence, the ship will be undergoing restoration boat at the yard and here at the pier throughout 2016, the National Park Service's Centennial Year.

More about this marker. This is obviously an out of date marker and should have been removed, as the C.A. Thayer is back at her berth.

1. Marker Removed
The marker has been removed, but the ship is still there for now. Park staff said they are preparing for the pier to be demolished and rebuilt in the next one to two years.
