Location. 34° 55.939′ N, 85° 13.912′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Catoosa County. Memorial is on Reed's Bridge Road west of Jays Mill Road, on the right when traveling west. This monument is located in the national park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield. It is situated with a cluster of markers, located along a park roadway that runs between the Lafayette Road and Jay's Mill Road, a short distance northwest of the National Park's eastern boundary. According to the location information provided by the National Park Service, the monument, "marks unit's position near Peters House site". Touch for map. More about this marker. According to the description information provided by the National Park Service, the monument is, "a 6'4" x 3'2" x 3' high rock-faced rectangular granite block with an inscribed polished front on a 7'6" x 4'4" x 1'6" high granite base. The tops of both pieces are beveled."

I used the "Chickamauga Battlefield" map, that I purchased at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Visitor Center, to determine both the marker number for this monument and the monument's location in relation to the rest of the park's monuments, markers, and tablets.
