Medal of Honor
Frederick E. Ferguson gradated from the US Army Warrant Officer flight program in 1957 and was assigned to the 1st Air Cavalry Division in the Republic of Viet Nam as a UH I Huey aircraft commander and section leader. While performing an emergency medevac on January 31, 1968, CWO Ferguson distinguished himself by conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his own life and was awarded the Medal of Honor. Following active duty Ferguson was promoted to Major and held Instructor Pilot and Command positions with the Arizona Army National Guard.     February 2012
