Regarding Oldest Building. At least one frame building in the Schoharie Valley survived the destructive raids of both the French and Indian War and the Revolution. The old Lutheran parsonage, built in 1743, stands behind the Lutheran Cemetery and Church, one of the oldest meeting houses in New York State.
