Esta estación de Ferrocarril de la ciudad de Santiago de Querétaro fue usada por primera vez el 1º de mayo de 1903 y nombrada como monumento histórico por decreto presidencial el 17 de Marzo de 1986. En 1996, fue reconocida por la UNESCO como parte de los edificios que compreden la zona de monumentos Patrimonio Cultural que esta ciudad ofrece al mundo.
A través de la incorporación de esta estación al patrimonio cultural del Municipio, con enorme beneplácito, hoy la administración del Dr. Rolando García Ortiz (2000-2003) retoma este espacio para disfrute de sus habitantes.

English translation:
This railway station for the city of Santiago de Querétaro was first used on May 1, 1903 and then named as a historical monument by presidential decree on March 17, 1986. In 1996, it was recognized by UNESCO as one of the buildings that make up the area of monuments related to cultural heritage that this city offers to the world.
Through the incorporation of this station to the cultural heritage of the Municipality, with great pleasure, today the administration of Dr. Rolando García Ortiz (2000-2003) dedicates this space to the enjoyment of its inhabitants.

6. Engine 2520 of the National Railroads of Mexico at the Querétaro Railroad Station
The "N de M" on the train means "Nacionales de Mexico", or "National Railroads of Mexico". This engine is some meters east of the train station. Two additional 1969 metal markers are on both sides of the engine and are dedicated to the bravery and dedication of Mexican railway workers.
