He was LSU's most decorated player in 1987 for his efforts on and off the field. He teamed with Eric Andolsek to anchor a fearsome Tiger offensive line that paved the way for a school record 4,843 offensive yards. Also an excellent student, he was a two-time Academic All-American and a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete.
