1. Joseph Clapp Memorial Park Marker
Inscription. In 1856 the land now known as the City Park was granted to the city of St. Louis to be used only as a park. On October 23, 1988, the City Council in recognition of this generous contribution does hereby rename this the Joseph Clapp Memorial Park.
