Inscription. In memory of Ensign C. Markland Kelly, Jr. USN Sept. 22, 1916-June 4, 1942.

Ensign Kelly was lost in action during the Battle of Midway, June 4, 1942. His spirit, courage, and love of country will always be an inspiration to those who would make the ultimate sacrifice to preserve liberty and to defend the United States.
