This busy Lake Champlain port
was an important transportation
hub for both people and goods
during the 1800's.

 
Erected 2009 by Town of Peru.
 
Location. 44° 36.317′ N, 73° 26.438′ W. Marker is in Town of Peru, New York, in Clinton County. Marker is on New York State Route 9 north of Lapham Mills Road, on the right when traveling north. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: Peru NY 12972, United States of America.
