Hortusplantsoen I
werden door de Duitse bezetter
bijna alle bestuursleden,
vele leerkrachten en de meeste leerlingen
van der E.J. van Detschool,
nijverheidsschool voor meisjes (1931-1943) weggehaald en vermoord.

Wij zullen hen nooit vergeten.

[English translation:]
In this building, Hortusplantoen 1, the German occupiers took away nearly all the board members, many teachers and most of the students of the E.J. van Det Vocational School for Girls (1931-1943) and murdered them.

We shall never forget them.
