Inscription. Miss Sally Bohannon, one of the richest women in Greeneville in the 1920s, moved here with her widowed mother to be near several uncles who were local potters. After teaching and ceramic painting at Tusculum College she opened a millinery store that sold hats and ready-to-wear piece goods she purchased in New York. She is depicted on the back door of her store holding a family quilt and wearing one of her hats and a coat dress. A business is now being operated in Miss Sally's store building by a fifth generation member of her family.
