Inscription.  
One of the first United Empire Loyalist settlements was formed here during and after the American Revolution (1775–1783). Many soldiers and others were transported by the warship Maria.

Un des premiers lieux peuplés par des Loyalistes au Québec, par suite de la guerre d'indépendance americaine (1775-1783). Plusiers colons, soldats ou autres, y arrivèrent par la Frégate Maria.
