Towanda in Bradford County, Pennsylvania — The American Northeast (Mid-Atlantic)
The War Ravaged Tree
vestige of its once beautiful and natural glory.
If it could speak
It would choose to remain mute
If it could cry
Rivers of tears would freely flow
This is the result of mankind in rage
Looking closer we see but a single leaf courageously sprouting as if to say;
"here I am God, they will not murder your workmanship."
The leaf symbolizes new life
It symbolizes bravery, tenacity and the will to survive under the most extreme circumstances.
This is our "War Ravaged Tree," it is a living testament to nature's ability to overcome all that man can do to destroy it.
