Inscription.

This airport dedicated July 14th, 1931, by Will Rogers, Wiley Post and Harold Gatty following the famous Around the World flight. Is under the supervision and maintenance of the United States Department of Commerce and is on the Amarillo-St. Louis airways.

The Oklahoma Military Academy on the hill to the southwest operates it's Flight and Ground School of Aviation here. (Marker Number A12.)
