More about this marker. The Meson Academy Girls' Basketball team won 104 consecutive basketball games, and were the unofficial State Champions in 1939, 1940, 1941 and 1942. (There was no official state championship at that time, rather an invitational series of basketball games played in Hazelhurst, Georgia.)
