Inscription.
An Irish Patriot, MacNeven came to America in 1805. He was instrumental in staving off cholera and smallpox epidemics in New York City. He is buried on the Riker Farm in Astoria, Queens. His monument stands 35-feet high and features inscriptions in English, Gaelic, and Latin.
