Lackawanna College
This institution has provided Pennsylvania's students with business, associate, and vocational degrees for more than a century. Today, the college is located at the renovated historic building that was originally Scranton Central High School.
The University of Scranton
Founded in 1888, the private, co-educational institution is a nationally recognized Jesuit university offering graduate and undergraduate programs. The beautiful 58-acre hillside campus is located in the heart of Scranton.
Marywood University
Marywood College opened on September 8, 1915, with a class of 34 women. The college acquired university status in 1997, and today more than 3,000 students are enrolled in a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
The Commonwealth Medical College
The Commonwealth Medical College (TCMC) was incorporated in 2008 and welcomed its first class of Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree students and Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) degree students in 2009. Acquired by Geisinger Health System in 2016, the school is now known as Geisinger Commonwealth College of Medicine.
