W tej kamienicy w latach 1860-1926 mieściło się atelier fotograficzne prowadzone przez wybitnego fotografa Ignacego Kriegera (1817-1889), jego syna Natana (1844-1903) i córkę Amalię (1846-1928). Fotografowanie Krakowa i jego zabytków uczynili oni głównym celem swojej pracy.

W dwusetną rocznicę urodzin Ignacego Kriegera tablicę tę ufundowało Muzeum Historyczne Miasta Krakowa.

In this building, in the years 1860 to 1926, a photographic studio was located, led by an outstanding photographer Ignacy Krieger (1817-1889), his son Natan (1844-1903) and his daughter Amalia (1846-1928). Taking pictures of Kraków and its monuments was the main aim of their work.

The plaque was founded on the second centenary of lgnacy Krieger's birth by the Historical Museum of the City of Kraków.
