Marker is at the intersection of Tilden Street (State Highway 97) and North Front Street, on the right when traveling east on Tilden Street. More about this marker. Marker is a 2.5-foot tall, pink granite slab that is significantly weathered and somewhat difficult to read.



Approximately 128 identical markers were placed, at roughly 5 mile intervals, by the DAR in 1918 throughout Texas to mark the route of the historic highway. This is marker number 112, when traveling from east to west, along the route.
