Inscription. Ozark was designated as the county seat of Franklin County in 1837, and the first court house in the county was erected on this site in 1838.
 
Erected 1936 by Arkansas Centennial Commission 1836-1936 Arkansas Historical Commission. (Marker Number B-13.)
