Thomas Smith. Delegate to the Continental Congress. One of the Judges of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania rests beneath this marble. He sustained various public offices with ability and fidelity. His integrity was inviolable. An affectionate husband and father. In his friendship benevolent and sincere. He conscientiously discharged his public duties until the last day of his life, with unremitted industry and zeal, and died 31st March 1809 Aged 64 years.
